XOS – Infinix Customised OS Coming Soon to all Infinix devices. Having custom user interface (UI) is nothing new in the Android world. This is due to the fact that Android is an open source which gives manufacturers the right to tweak the OS.
Many Android phone brands like Samsung (Touchwiz), Huawei (Emotion UI), Xiaomi (MiUi), HTC (Sense UI) already have their own custom UI. Tecno also launched theirs (HiOS) with the launch of Tecno Boom J8.
For a while now, Infinix has been working on their own custom UI that will be called XOS. The beta version of the XOS is currently being tested on Infinix Zero 3 and Infinix Note 2 but it not yet public for download.
The new XOS will be based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will look somehow similar to HiOS. The XOS is likely going to be featured in Infinix Hot S which will be the next smartphone from the company. Even though not confirmed, we expect the Hot S to be launched sometime next month.
The Hot S will be an interesting device from what we have seen so far, and it looks absolutely beautiful. It has a design similar to that of the Infinix Zero 2 but this time around the company has decided to go with an all metal body.
Its selling point will be the 8MP front facing camera with LED flash. Besides the front-facing camera, the Hot S will have some decent specs including a MediaTek Helio X10 processor, 3GB of RAM, fingerprint scanner, VR technology among other features.
It’s so impressive to see infinix doing their best to reach customers satisfaction but sure we can’t wait to compare the XOS to XUI
