How to Flash MIUI 9 Custom ROM on Infinix X507

Installing MIUI 9 ROM requires a custom recovery installed on your device. Download TWRP 3.2.1 for Infinix X507 and follow the step by step guide below to install ROM. See how to flash stock rom and custom recovery for installing TWRP via spfashtool.

  1. Download Miui 9 ROM for Infinix X507 from the given link below.
  2. Copy the downloaded Miui Rom to the root of your SD card.
  3. Power off your device and boot into recovery mode.
  4. In recovery, go to the wipe section and tap advance
  5. Tick the following: Dalvick art/cache, cache, data, and system.
  6. Now, wipe the selected partitions.
  7. Return to your recovery main menu and select install.
  8. Select the storage which you have copied the downloaded rom.
  9. Locate the rom zip file and tap to select.
  10. Follow the on-screen instruction to proceed with the flashing.

Wait until the flashing process is done, it might take a while. Once the installation is complete, reboot device and wait for it to finish first boot, this usually will take 5-10 minutes. That’s it

  1. While the Rom is good, there are few issues with mine. First is the storage issue, almost all of my internal storage of 13gb is gone. Before flashing this Rom i use to have about 8gb storage left, after installing similar applications. Secondly, only Sim 1 has 3g capabilities, Sim 2 has no 3g network and to flash the Rom i had to delete about 4lines in the updater script after some updater error while flashing with Twrp.
Wondering if the dual 3g enabler. Zip will work on this Rom

    • Hello ruxpin, I’m not quick sure why you ecountered problem with the updater script. As at when this ROM was ported I didn’t face any issue but Sim 2 not having 3G. Dual 3g enabler will work, I already added in a version I ported I didn’t remember to add in this ROM. I’ll update later. However, which version of TWRP did you use for installation.

  2. Version 3.2.1 of Twrp and i’ve flashed the dual 3g file. Do you have any solution to the storage issue of this rom. I discovered that the name of the internal storage now is emulated storage and it seems as if all the apps that i installed previously on the stock rom have blown up in size thereby reducing the internal storage to like 1gb compared to 7gb of stock rom. So far the Rom is good apart from those issues

  3. I was able to solve the internal storage issue after going back to the stock ROM briefly. Before flashing this rom make sure you internal storage is totally free of any file, because the rom simply stores them somewhere you will not be able to access them and it occupies space depending on thee size(i now have about 14gb of free space). After using this rom for like 3 weeks now, here are the issues. The speaker volume is low especially when such sound is being produced by a system app( alarm, radio), the headphone section under setting does not work( issue with miui 9 rom), the battery icon is so distorted, you won’t know when it’s full when you charge the phone while switched off. Every other stuff works ok. To use xposed, there’s a special one on the miui forum.

  4. So I tried to install it through twrp and it didn’t work when I try to open phone the infinix logo appear then fade away
So I tried what you said twrp 3.2.1 and when I try enter the recovery it do the same thing
So now I don’t have system or recovery and the big problem is that the USB Jack in the phone is broken so I can’t use flash tool through the computer
    Any Solution plz

    • Hello Sabar, the ROM you flashed is meant for Infinix X507 with Android KitKat. From what you explained, it seems you flashed it on the Lollipop OS version, which is why your device is stock on the device logo. The only thing you can do right now is to get your charging port fixed, so you’ll be able to flash the device with flash tool. Or if you made a backup before you flashed the ROM and can still boot into TWRP recovery, simply restore your backup.
