WhatsApp regularly stops support for older devices, forcing users to upgrade their devices if they want to continue using the app. This will help the company focus on newer devices while improving privacy and security on its platform.

You’ll recall that WhatsApp ended support for Blackberry OS and BB10 back in Dec 31, 2018 as well as Nokia Symbian phones. The is like a routine checkup for WhatsApp to continually improve it platform while bringing the best service to it users.

This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family, and loved ones using WhatsApp.
