The South Korean tech giant Samsung is set to launch another foldable phone into its foldable portfolio, the Galaxy Z Flip, said to be unveiled February 14 which also happens to be valentines day.
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip looks very similar to the relaunched Motorola Razr that we saw in November 2019, and while the Motorola RAZR didn’t get to use a flagship processor, Galaxy Z Flip brings better performance, better display, more ram and storage.
The all-new Galaxy Z Flip will feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic Amoled display. It will also get a 1-inch outer display, smaller compared to the Motorola RAZR.
The outer display will allow users to check charging speeds and battery info and will also work as a viewfinder for the camera for better rear camera selfie.
Galaxy Z Flip will also feature ‘Samsung Ultra-Thin Glass’, and there will be crease when the screen folds.
An in-display fingerprint scanner would have been nicer on the Galaxy Z Flip but Samsung decided to incorporate a capacitive fingerprint scanner mounted on the side.
Galaxy Z Flip houses a dual 12MP cameras, with wide and ultra-wide features and a 10MP camera mounted on the hole-punch display.
The device will be powered by snapdragon 855 Plus, assisted with 8GB of RAM for a seamless performance. There’s 256GB of inbuilt storage to keep all your files and date and also, it will run the latest Android 10 OS out of the box along with Samsung’s One UI skin.
Galaxy Z Flip comes with a dual battery like the Galaxy Fold, however, it is smaller in size. A 3,300mAh battery with support for 15W charging, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
