Intel has announced its next-gen processor, the Core i9-10900k which it claims is the “world’s fastest gaming processor.” The 10th generation Intel Core i9-10900k processor is capable of reaching 5.3Ghz max turbo with a 3.7Ghz base clock. The all-new Core i9 10th gen consists of 10 Cores, 20 threads, and DDR4-2933 memory.
The next-gen Intel processor will deliver a great gaming experience, supporting graphics quality up to 187 frames per second. It will give also add a 10% boost for video editing, 18% faster on 4K video editing and 31% faster in the overall system performance.
With Intel’s Thermal Velocity Boost, gamers can temporarily automatically boost the processor’s clock frequency above Single Core and MultiCore, with up to 5.3GHz. For Thermal Velicity Boost to work, the processor’s temperature should be 70 degrees Celsius or lower.
Intel also announced its 10th gen Core-i7 10700K and Core-i5 10600K along with Core i9-10900K chip. The Core-i7 10700K chip comes with eight cores and 16 threads and max turbo @ 5.1GHz (base clock speed of 3.8GHz) costing $374.
The Core-i5-10600k, however, comes with a lower cost, it goes for just $262. It comes with six cores, 12 threads, 4.8Ghz max turbo with a base clock speed of 4.1Ghz.
On the other hand, the 10th gen Core i9-10900k cost $488. All new chips support 2.5 gigabit Ethernet and the integrated Wi-Fi 6(Gig+) by default, which offers a more reliable connection with three times faster download speed.
While Intel’s biggest competitor, AMD already moved to 7nm process technology to provide more power-efficient processors, Intel is sticking to the 14nm architecture chips and betting on higher clock speeds.
